Oh, It's 2013!

End the 2012 out by making the NYE Mystery quilt with my friends at MSQC. Well I have finally finished it and love the pattern so much...I am making 2 more. So In January I started making a baby quilt. I have created a new pattern, I just need to write it out. I have been sewing and quilting in every spare moment, I even took on binding a friends quilt. I would say productive quilting on quilt tops, not so productive quilting.

I met a new quilting friend, Lisa. She is a fun gal. I shared some fun patterns and we had a good meet and greet night with our mutual friend Ericka. I love quilt gals pals. They are fun!!

My best pals Kathy and Lee had a sew day together. We have the best time ever and inspire quilting ideas are always abundant. Lee is such an accomplished artistic quilter. I am looking forward to our next sew day.

Keep on quilting! It is one of my favorite things to do....hope it is yours too!

Quilting and Life

I had Friday night sew last night and offered to work at the Missouri Star Quilt Company, because I was there anyways. I love my Friday night sew group. Talk about some fun quilters. I was a little lost with out Marcie Regan there. She is one of my dearest quilt friends. She just moved out of state and I miss her terribly.

I was able to finish my Happy Howl"o"ween quilt. I have been working on it for a couple of months and it is done, finally. I took it to the MSQC shop today, since I was able work again. It was the busiest day.  I worked with Ron and Amy. I helped several quilters build their quilts. We had so many out of state quilter come in to visit and check out the new shop. I love helping and working at the shop. It was an awesome day.

It is funny how life gets in the way of my quilting. I love working on and sewing quilts, I just need more time. I have a quilt I would like to create, I have thoughts in my head on what it should look like. I need to draw it out. plan it and create it. I need to make time to work on this.......

Making more quilts

I suppose, I have not been a very interesting blogger. I have been at the sewing machine way too much. Last night at Friday night sew, I was able to finish one of my UFO, with being lucky my friend Megan was at the quilt machine and quilted it for me. I am such a lucky girl. I have cut out 3 baby quilts....so it is back sewing again. I need to get 3 of the 4 quilts tops I have completed to the quilter so I can mark those off my UFO list as well. Also I am still binding the big black & white City Girl quilt.

Now if my car would just drive me to work automatically...hummmm
I could work on binding then. Lol.

Until I get time again to add picture(soon).
I will blog then.....
Keep Quilting

Quilting projects

I completed one and sold another quilt last weekend. They were both baby quilts and I love making them. I have two major projects going on right now. Star quilt blocks for my quilt swap and the Dragonfly Summer quilt for my Aunt. I also have another quilt I finished at the beginning of June with the help of my dear friend Jenny. That one is for my granddaughter Matilda, she will be one year at the end of August. I do need a new idea for a quilt for Kimberly who just turned Three. Oh so many quilts and not enough time.....Luck me, I am working at the MSQC shop this week. I am taking my Janome with me to work tomorrow.
Pictures to post soon!

I am still binding

Why, oh why...since I finished the quilt top, had it back from the quilter, sewed the binding to
the front and started whip stitching it to the back. This is where I have had sewing block!
I want to hand bind the quilt and I want to finish it and yet it is still not completed.
I have since started and completed 4-5 quilt projects.
Oh queen size quilt, you will not win. I will work on you yet!

As I was cruising my blogger for more fun pictures of Spring 2011 Quilt Market, I was not so surprised to see a grin I recognized. I thought this was funny Alan.
