It's March...Yeah! More Fabric, please.
The month of February was tough, I placed my self on a fabric diet.
Did I make it, Yes!
When I decided to make a difference in my budget for February, the first change I knew I need to make was shopping. I knew it would be easier if I did not purchase fabric. I missed the Superbowl specials, Valentine deals and the last of the month mark downs. The toughest day was the last. My luck, Leap year. March 29 was a long day. I had several projects started. I have been working on my paper piecing, QAL my Grandaughter's AG Doll sleeping bag and binding. Now, I have a new QAL Mystery Quilt I am starting. I have gone through my stash and realized, I need more fabric! UGH!!
I am working with http://www.corasquilts.com/quilt-alongs/beguiling/
I have found 4-5 fabric that will work from my stash, but I still need 3-4 more pieces that will marry up to complete my pre-cutting. So today, I can buy, although I do not have time to shop.
Time will allow for to go purchase some new fabric lines or the pieces to match up.

I have a Blogger crush
I have a huge blogger crush on this site. Cheryl is so insightful and inspiring with her designs. I have started one of her quilt patterns and I am ordering another. The Mystery quilt she wrote for 2015 is very ingenuous. So I picked out my colors, I am using Angela Walters- Art Gallery line Athena, dark blues with Norcott's Tuscany line in Gray and Shannon Brinkley's Dryad gold waves.
I have finished My blocks and they are all seen together. This has been a fun quilt to make. mystery-quilt.html

I have been working on being creative lately. I have limited time to be on my PC.I am making quilts. Last February I Met up with my BFF, Mona, in Florida. Moe has this Idea I need to run 5k races with her. So we did our thing. We have a great time and we hang out, as if we were teenagers again. I am sharing my Valentine present to my BFF. I used the Large 10" Hexy template by Natalie Dawn, a hexy template from Missouri Star Quilt Co. It goes together so quickly and not Y seams. This is a must have. tool. I would recommend to use it.

So I need to sew.
Since I longarm quilt three days a week, with one of those days being Saturday. I find less sew days available to sew projects. In my down time I have been converting quilt blocks into a pattern design, building a mystery quilt and finishing my block of the month. I also am taking a Judy Niemeyer paper piecing class. This along with my family keep me busy.
I find designing blocks into a pattern to be fascinating. Half square triangles, stars, pinwheels, snowball, rectangles, squares and hexi shapes all placed together to mix together to piece a lot of fabric to make a quilt. Color, blending, gradation I want to build a quilt to throw on my bed and snuggle with.
I found a new pattern that I want to make, so again I will start a new class in a two weeks. So another project begins, my life as a quilter!
